Llévame de vuelta a los días de verano cuando mi hermano y yo corríamos por el patio de la casa de abuela en la 27 de la calle Santiago Palmer en Salinas.
Devuélveme las tardes cuando la mano de mi abuela, Guelin, me llevaba por las calles del pueblo, a la plaza frente a la iglesia Monserrate, a la panadería para comprar pan y repostería y de vez en cuando un helado de coco.
De vuelta a casa por la plaza de Mercado a una cuadra de su dulce hogar.

I grew up listening to AM radio in Puerto Rico……Armed Forces Radio provided an opportunity for me to hear an ecletic sound of music that set the foundation of what would be my understanding of music from the United States…….blues, folk, jazz, big band, gospel, rhythm and blues…….when I came to the United States in 1970 FM radio opened my mind to artist and radio programming that would never be played or heard on the AM band……today I heard an artist by the name of Martin Sexton on ‘BUR’s “On Point” and I was blown away….by the same token I tuned into Ruben Blades and I heard Rosa Cedron from Spain and thought…..this is great music!…..the magic of radio and new technology.
